Practice DirectorSara Taylor

Sara oversees all of the practices in the group to ensure they are delivering the quality services our patients expect. She works with each of the practice managers in their day to day roles of practice management.

Sara is also a fully qualified dental nurse and can sometimes been seen covering for staff absence in the surgery, nursing or on the reception welcoming patients to the practice.

Sara firmly believes that all team members should be willing to ‘roll up their sleeves and do whatever is necessary to ensure we provide a continuous quality service to our patients’.

Dentist – GDC: 76335Dr Lorne Whitmarsh

I played ice hockey all through my teenage years. I enjoy tennis, golf. I studied classical guitar. I’ve tried my hand at oil painting. I’m interested in computer programming and have made some dental software. I enjoy travelling and spending time with my family and friends.

I like to think of myself as a friendly dentist, trying my best to make patients feel as relaxed as possible as well as providing a high level of dental care.

I enjoy and carryout a range of dental treatments from routine dental care to cosmetic solutions. I like to provide patients with options for their dental needs so that they can make an informed decision on how to proceed.

Dentist – GDC: 64750Dr Gillian Whittingham

I qualified 32 yrs ago from Liverpool. The time has flown. I still enjoy the whole range general practice offers, but especially enjoy enabling patients to make changes for themselves to improve their oral health.

I also enjoy treating anxious patients. Outside work I love spending time with my family, and love a good party!

Hygiene Therapist – GDC: 212314Lisa Williams

I began my dental career in 2006 as a dental nurse and later graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2011 as a dual qualified dental hygienist and dental therapist.

I’m passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in managing their oral health. Alongside providing hygiene and periodontal treatment, a key part of my role is supporting patients in the prevention and management of gum disease. I do this by creating tailored oral hygiene regimes designed to achieve and maintain healthy, stable gums. Promoting good gum health not only benefits the mouth but can also play an important role in supporting overall wellbeing, including cardiovascular, respiratory, and cognitive health.

When I’m not working, I love spending time outdoors with my 4 rescue dogs and for the past 20 years I have been involved in dog fostering, volunteering and supporting rescue shelters in the UK and abroad.
