Meet the Team

At Maelor Dental Care our team are the most important asset we have. We aim to give our patients complete satisfaction and we’re always happy to answer any questions you may have.

Sara Taylor

Practice Director
Sara oversees all of the practices in the group to ensure they are delivering the quality services our patients expect. She works with each of the practice managers in their day to day roles of practice management.

Sara is also a fully qualified dental nurse and can sometimes been seen covering for staff absence in the surgery, nursing or on the reception welcoming patients to the practice. Sara firmly believes that all team members should be willing to ‘roll up their sleeves and do whatever is necessary to ensure we provide a continuous quality service to our patients’.

At home Sara is also busy with her twin sons who are in their first year of university and looking after her horse, dog and cats!!

Dr Lorne Whitmarsh

Dentist – GDC: 277832
I played ice hockey all through my teenage years. I enjoy tennis, golf. I studied classical guitar. I’ve tried my hand at oil painting. I’m interested in computer programming and have made some dental software. I enjoy travelling and spending time with my family and friends.

I like to think of myself as a friendly dentist, trying my best to make patients feel as relaxed as possible as well as providing a high level of dental care.

I enjoy and carryout a range of dental treatments from routine dental care to cosmetic solutions. I like to provide patients with options for their dental needs so that they can make an informed decision on how to procede.

Dr Gillian Whittingham

Dentist – GDC: 138829
I qualified 32 yrs ago from Liverpool. The time has flown. I still enjoy the whole range general practice offers, but especially enjoy enabling patients to make changes for themselves to improve their oral health.

I also enjoy treating anxious patients. Outside work I love spending time with my family, and love a good party!
